Building Boundaries
Energetic boundaries protect your personal space from unwanted energies. It's like having a semipermeable wall up around you at all times that allows in beneficial energies and keeps out unbeneficial energies. We can be bothered by intrusive energies from the nonphysical realms and other human beings. Think about the proverbial sleezy salesman - that icky vibe we so often feel when interacting with them is actually their energy trying to push into our energy systems and very subtly influence us to buy something they are selling.
If you ever feel the need to shower off after such an interaction, you may be responding to an unconscious need to cleanse your energy systems of leftover icky energy stuck in your fields. Fortunately, if you put in place strong energetic boundaries you'll never have to worry about unwanted energies trying to poke holes in your foundation again.
So what are energetic boundaries made of, anyway? Imagine a field or matrix woven together from many different strands. To make a nice strong boundary around yourself, thousands of energy threads are needed. These strands have different vibrations and frequencies to cover a wide vibrational range. Human beings operate over many frequencies, we span quite the vibrational range with our souls being the least dense, our minds being more dense, and our bodies being the most dense.
If you would like your energetic boundaries to fully protect you, they will need to contain this full vibrational range. If any subsets of frequencies are left out, you will have holes in your boundaries. And having holey boundaries is like getting caught with your pants down in a hurricane. Let's stay dry and plug those gaps with the needed vibrations of energy.
What I recommend for those starting out is to visualize a sphere or an egg-shaped boundary. It can be any color, even multihued - whatever floats your boat. The nice thing about a spherical boundary is that there are no corners or cracks where things could potentially sneak in. When you practice visualizing your boundary, notice if any areas seems a little thin or weak. This may signify too few energy strands of a certain vibrational range.
If you notice any weaknesses in your boundary, it usually points to discomfort with a certain vibrational range. There was a point in my life where I had some discomfort with the root chakra and second chakra energies. I would subconsciously work less of these lower vibrational energy strands into my boundary, leaving some weaknesses down by my legs and feet.
It can be a process to discover what energies you may have some discomfort with - be patient with yourself and keep at it, and you will eventually create a very strong and effective boundary for yourself. You can also intuitively scan around your boundary to check for intrusive energies. Scanning takes practice and utilizes both vertical and horizontal intuition. Happy creating!
